Independent coverage of civil rights, public safety, and the issues shaping Black communities across the United States.
Who We Are
Kemetic Minds is an independently operated, self-funded publication. We are not affiliated with any political party, advocacy group, or media conglomerate — no outside funder or advertiser directs what we cover or how we cover it.
Our name draws on “Kemet,” the ancient Egyptian name for the land known today as Egypt, and reflects a broader interest in African and African-American history, culture, and current affairs. That interest sits alongside our core focus: reporting on civil rights, public safety, missing-persons cases, and the policy decisions that affect everyday people.
What We Cover
- Civil rights & policy — legislation, court rulings, and government actions that affect Black communities.
- Public safety trackers — continuously updated pages following specific cases and events (hate crimes, missing-persons cases, class-action settlements) as verified developments occur.
- Personal finance & economic opportunity — plain-language guides on investing, wealth-building, and navigating economic policy.
- Public health & safety alerts — food recalls, disease outbreaks, and infrastructure issues sourced from FDA, CDC, and other government data.
- Numerology & Kemetic spirituality — daily numerology readings and explorations of ancient Egyptian (Kemetic) spiritual traditions, offered as commentary and reflection, not medical, legal, or financial advice.
How We Report
Our reporting aims to make the evidence visible. News and live trackers distinguish an official statement, a reported allegation, and a confirmed finding. We link to original records, government data, and research when available, and identify news reporting when it is the source.
- For numbers and comparisons, we aim to name the source, time period, and population or unit being measured. A statistic can change as an agency revises its data.
- Some updates are collected and assembled by scheduled software. An automated pre-publication fact check helps flag claims for review, but it can miss errors; a source link lets readers inspect the evidence themselves.
- Live trackers show developing information. Older entries are a record of what was known at the time; check the latest entry and its source for the current position.
- Numerology and Kemetic spirituality pieces are interpretation and cultural commentary. They are separate from empirical news reporting and are not medical, legal, or financial advice.
Corrections
If you find a factual error, send us the article link, the passage, and a source supporting the correction. We review reports and correct confirmed errors. For a developing story, a later update may also change what was previously known.
